Not Opened Yet

Not Opened Yet

A little while ago,
I was just walking around,
and I came across a sticker.

I didn’t buy it then.
I wasn’t in a hurry,
and it wasn’t that I was unsure,
but for some reason, I just walked past it.

Still, after I got home,
it kept coming back to me
in quiet moments.

“I liked that one.”
That feeling stayed with me,
somewhere in the back of my mind,
for about a month.

So I went back
to the basement of Hyundai Outlet in Dongdaemun,
and although there were many kinds,
I chose just one.

I could have bought more,
but that day,
that felt like enough.

Even after bringing it home,
I still haven’t opened it.

It feels important somehow.
I leave it on my desk, still in its package,
and look at it from time to time.

It doesn’t have to be used right away.
It doesn’t have to be completed right away.

Including the time I spent choosing,
and the time I spent hesitating,
it already feels like I have it.

MARKET SUPERNOVA also
wants to gather things
that are chosen in that way.

There’s no need to rush.
It doesn’t have to be many.

A life with something important,
that you’re not ready to open yet.
